I am 5'4" and weigh 140 pounds and size S/M fit comfortably. At first it is a little difficult to determine front from back since they are not marked. But if you put them on incorrectly they immediately feel wrong. Of course, if you study them you will see that the front cuts up more at an angle. See photo. The absorbant pad is very large and rinsed from your tail bone to about 2" below the belly button. I wore the briefs all day and they were so comfortable I forgot I had them on. They do become slightly loose after having them on a long time. I was wearing loose fitting shorts so it was not obvious that I had this type of brief on. I do not think I would wear them under tight fitting pants. The briefs absorb the liquid nicely while keeping your skin dry.

The first time I used one I did smell the urine a little bit but it was just that first time.

It has soft curved leg elastics ensure a secure and comfortable fit. They are ideal for everyday use, but I'm not there at this point.
I had the freedom from worrying about an unexpected leak, and instead allowed me to push anxiety away, so I can be my natural real self. It basically feels like my underwear (but thicker) and this really speaks to the level of comfort. With my confidence back, 

When I told my husband about my little problem, he told me I was too young to be experiencing leaks. I tell him that everyone's clock is different. I'm not humiliated by leaking now that I've been using Tena, as it's simply a tiny part of another stage of my life. I'm 72 and I'm extremely happy that there is a product like TENA that allows me to do the things I love in peace, without having to constantly run back and forth to the washroom.

Comfortable Protective Incontinence Underwear

These protective underwear are made by Tena. Protective underwear come twenty to a pack. The protective underwear are one hundred percent breathable. The protective underwear are absorbent. Wear just like underwear, be sure to look at waistband for the blue color in waistband and place towards the back. The protective underwear can slide on and off or rip at the seam of protective underwear to remove. The protective underwear are small to Medium size, or fourty two to fourty four waist band.

Protective underwear

I had never worn this type of underwear before but am finding that I am close to needing them for "emergancies". That is why I was interested in reviewing these. I did not recognizre the name "TENA". When I first went to put them on I spend quite awile tring to decide which was the front vs. the back. They look (to me) to be identical. Finally I read the outside of the package and it read "the back , at the waist , has blue stitch. I looked and could barel see the blue stitching . I needed brighter light. I then decided that I would get a black magic marker and make a mark on the backside. See enclose photoes.

I still was not sure that the pants would "catch" the urine so I waited till I needed to "go" and pulled them on and let it go until I finished. To my surprise the pants wre able to catch everything and no leaking! No moisture was apparent on the outside at all! I feel that if I was wearing these shopping and this happened that I would feel confident that I was OK.

These are not as attractive as some of the expensive brands but they are more than adequate.

they work!

From the words of my granny...they fit nice and snug, little to no discomfort. They have a good amount of absorbency and are not very bulky. The also are pretty quiet, can't hear them rustling around while walking. When these run out, we will most likely get more

Comfy

I got these so that my mother in law can try them, since she did not like the idea of having to wear this. They are very lightweight and you don't feel like you are wearing them. They have proper absorption, the only thing she didn't care for was the color. Other than that they are good.

Comfortable

These Tena Incontinence Underwear for women are very absorbent. They are thick where they should be and not where they shouldn't.

They have 3 times the protection compared to other incontinence products. They are ribbed for a proper fit for many sizes from a 34" waist up to a 44" waist.

These undergarments are in a beige color so you can wear them with no see-throughs. They have ConfioAir which means they are 100% breathable.

Nice product.

Tena Incontinence Underwear

Tena Maximum Absorbency Incontinence Underwar For Women is a good product but could be better. The problem has to do with the sizing and design. I am a small lady. My weight fluctuates between 115-122 lbs. This package says it is S/M but it is more like a Medium at the larger end. When I put the underwear on, it was too roomy and didn't fit snuggly as it should. The leg opening was just too wide. The top was at least 3-4 inches above my waistline. The middle portion was much too bulky and felt uncomfortable and even more so as you tried to walk while wearing the underwear. However, the bulky middle was very efficient when I purposefully tested its absorbency. It did absorb splendidly without any leakage.

If an adjustment would be made to the design in regard to sizing for a better fit and the replacement of the middle with a lighter material with just as good absorbency, I believe this product would best meet the need of elderly women who require such a product.

Size adjustment and less bulky middle

The fit on tummy, hips and butt is comfortably close/body-fitting. Fit in pubic area and front of crotch is not as body-fitting but is comfortable, not bulky. Fit in bottom of butt and back crotch is loose plus it feels bulky and I could fit a fist in the bottom of the butt. It does look bulky like there's a load back there. I had to read the directions to tell front from back. There is pale blue stitching at the waistline to distinguish the back of the garment. Because that stitching is so pale it isn't obvious it's there to be noticed. A darker color or better yet, a branded stamp in back like real underwear has would be helpful. The absorbency is great while sitting or standing. I had no leaks with a full bladder filling the garment. There was urine on my skin. I was pleasantly surprised the gathers weren't obvious in my jeans but the bulky bottom butt is noticeable.

1st time user of protective underwear

The Tena Maximum Absorbency Incontinence Underwear For Women, S/M, 80 Count came at a great time. My wife recently had surgery and I figured these could be put to good use! The packaging says these underwear have “total security” and a “body-close fit” but my wife said they were a bit loose on her. She usually wears a size 7 in jeans. The area around the legs and waist were pretty big and the elasticity wasn't that great. She really wishes there was a label that told you which way was the front and which way was the back because you can't really tell just by looking at them and she kept having to put them on and then take them off to turn them around. You could definitely tell she was wearing this protective underwear because when she walked it did make a sort of “diaper sound” like you hear when little kids have diapers on. The color is a really unpleasant cream color too, I understand it's supposed to match your skin tone so it's not that noticeable but they could have had a better color selection. My wife did say that these underwear did prevent leaking and odor which is a great thing! These protective underwear also have tear away sides that are great because you can easily and quickly just tear them off.

Sizing is a bit off

These absorbency underwear are not my usual brand but I wanted to try them any way. I am sorry to say I do not like them as well as my usual ones. These are more bulky than my brand and have a more stiff papery feel to them. They also make a rustling paper kind of sound when I walk which I do not like at all. The S/M size does fit well though and these would work for someone who has a major leakage problem because I think they would hold a lot more moisture than my favorite brand would. They are not awful but just not really for me personally.
